1:1 Learning marries LFS

Do we need to tie LFS into this section or keep it separate?

It makes sense to tie it in since it's an initiative on which we're focusing. And what better way to focus on higher-order thinking skills than by having the technology for students to communicate with one another and others about their thoughts and ideas as they're learning? I think, like it or not, the lines are being blurred between civil education and the typical "book-learning." We are teaching them how to think critically, how to be resourceful and how to problem solve. I think collaboration among students is a big part of LFS. It's not just the teacher teaching students, it's students teaching students. Web 2.0 would give them a way to do this.

REASONS FOR THE MARRIAGE:

1. LFS - extended thinking skills
1:1- provides an engaging medium for students to use extended thinking skills in real world situations
